I recently witnessed a hiring process with this company that really makes me question their professionalism and their commitment to working with communities. In short, do not bother with this company if you are new to the country as their hiring practices are not based on merit. They have no sensitivity whatsoever to the experience of newcomers to the UK and will dismiss you in favour of UK candidates who have less experience - really completely detached from the struggles of people trying to enter into the UK job market. On top of that, they will say they will get back to you in two days, but really take 4 weeks to tell you that they feel you are overqualified and will leave them in short order - with no evidence or follow up conversation whatsoever. It was discriminatory at best. What angers me is that this company purportedly helps my community, but they are just like any other company: completely in it for themselves and do not care what kind of impact they have locally. I was appalled at the lack of professionalism and callousness I witnessed in this situation. If this behaviour extends to how they perform their work and treat their actual employees, it's just not worth it. Companies like this should be held to account for how they hire.
