Driven away by ParkingEye. I'm in my late 60's but at a time when I should be enjoying the beauty of places like this I can't because of the worry I might incur another parking penalty. In the last 12 months I forgot to pay the parking fee twice, once because of my forgetfulness and once my wife became ill during the visit my concern for her welfare and I paid two days later. Both occasions resulted in 2x 60 fines. Despite appealling it fell on deaf ears. Really in this day and age paying what equates to two weeks food or meeting extra winter heating bills means I cannot risk going here again by car. You will find paying by phone difficult because of the weak signal, a temperamental card payment machine is tucked out of view outside the toilet block and the signage for payment is confusing in small type and does not agree as to when to pay on entry or leaving. Where is the proportionality of paying 60 for a 2 perking fee? ParkingEye and the Lea Valley Park Authority should be ashamed of themselves.
