The actual doctors are very good, well mannered and actually helped me out a lot more than my previous doctor but the receptionists here are something that needs fixing. So so rude. I don't think these places even understand that you don't really want to be calling them up to talk to them, they talk to you like you're a burden yet they are getting paid for it!! This place would get a much higher rating if it wasn't for the rude staff with such a bad attitude! Edit 27/3/23 its now almost impossible to get an appointment as told to at 8am. By the time you listen to the 2 minute automated message all lines are busy please try again later and the line gets cut off! Come on! This surgery was the best!!!

Been with this surgery 37 years since I was born and its turned out to be a disgrace. Cant get a doctor, 30mins minimum to answer the phone out of peak times. To clarify a blood result I requested a quick 2 minute phone call, told a month wait. I am moving doctors ASAP.

Atrocious service. Lie to you about appointment times and types. messing up prescriptions. Interminable wait on listening to irrelevancies that you can't skip ever. Unconscionable wait for appointments. Rude reception staff. Doctors pleasant and effective if you actually see one.

Ridiculous and negligent GP Surgery. Signed my grandad up as a temporary patient as he came to visit for a holiday. The surgery were well aware that he is a cancer patient before we signed him on. He was experiencing severe bone pain in his legs. The surgery was provided with all his past medical records. He was misdiagnosed with B12 deficiency and mistreated with B12 injections as we later discovered (from his original doctor) that the pain was arising due to a tumour growing. As a result, the tumour had grown viciously within the 2-3months. However, this surgery did not spot any of this? Despite the fact that they were made aware of his health. Thanks to Lichfield Street Surgerys neglect he now does not have long left. Would not recommend this surgery to anyone!!!

Hostile Receptionist pretends to be Practice Manager. Waited 3 weeks for a booked blood test, which was booked via Lichfield surgery, turned up early and on the correct date and was told sorry we can't help you, even though i had my text message from Lichfield Surgery confirming my booking ! I asked why it was cancelled and requested they message the doctor so the issue could be resolved. This was refused. I tried to book another appointment only to endure 4 members of staff speaking to me aggressivly and without any respect. I felt completely bullied and harrased by the way they were behaving towards me especially as they were all talking at me at the same time which is rude and very intimidating. When I complained to them they though only swearing and shouting could constitute being rude. The receptionist also pretended to be the practice manager!! Eventually the best they could do for me was book an appointment with the same doctor who advised me to have the blood test however this is not for 5 weeks as I was told she is too busy to confirm my booking for that day. I don't understand how sending an email to a doctor and waiting for a response was so difficult especially as this is what other reception staff did all the time. It's as if she just wanted to be as rude and unhelpful as possible. Due to this I'm back to square one and have to start the process again. No wonder our NHS is in such a state with incompetent reception staff like the staff at Lichfield St. I would like add that a few of the staff that have been there for years are really nice and professional it does seem to be the newer staff that have changed the culture. Due to how i was intimidated by the 4 bullies I left in tears and it has left me very upset that they are allowed to behave in this way. There are signs which state zero tolerance on abuse to the staff, why does it not work both ways there should also be a zero tolerance on aggressive behavior towards the patients but this doesn't seem to be the case from my experience and multiple other victims that have enured their their poor behaviour. Reading the other reviews there is a clear pattern of appaulling , bullying, Intimidating behaviour from the reception staff. If one person makes a complaint it's a one off multiple people make the same complaint it's a pattern.
