Alan did an amazing job at restoring our old slate fireplace surrounds as well as supplying and installing two reconditioned Victorian fireplaces. We found Alan to be very transparent and his pricing to be exceptionally competitive. Only criticism if any would have to be around time taken to prepare the fireplaces - on a couple of occasions this was pushed back by a week or so. But credit to Alan, when he did give us a day for fitting the fireplaces and surrounds, he turned up at 8am sharp and got the job done very professionally.

I would highly recommend Alan. He removed our old fireplace and replaced with this lovely period piece. He also reinstated our chimney and restored another fireplace in a bedroom. He was quick, polite and was very competitively priced. We were actually shocked at the cost of some of the other quotes we had with other companies, he is also a gentleman so I would highly recommend his services.

Alan was recommended to me by a tradesman friend of mine, and I'm very grateful to both of them since I'm now the proud owner of a beautifully restored Edwardian fireplace. The cast iron had spent decades hidden under Lord-knows-how-many coats of paint, and I had been tempted just to add yet another when decorating my bedroom, but I'm very glad I didn't. Alan removed the fireplace from the wall, took it away, got rid of every bit of paint - in the process, revealing some pretty ceramic tiles that I didn't even know existed - and then polished and refitted it, all with a minimum of fuss and literally at a fraction of the price I'd been quoted elsewhere. I was delighted with the result. I found Alan to be straightforward, friendly, reliable and efficient, and I can't recommend him highly enough. If I had any more fireplaces to refurbish, I wouldn't hesitate to ask him to do the same again. Thank you, Alan!
