Edit: I've seen the response from the business and I'd like to provide some clarification to what they've said. First of all unprofessional is in fact the accurate word I'd use to describe my interactions with them and I will explain why. I was texted to pay in advance for the lesson which is not a problem and I was sympathetic to the fact that they had many late cancellations, so I completely understood why they would want this. While I initially said that I would prefer to pay after the lesson, once they explained their recent cancellations I never said I didn't want to pay, all that happened is I wanted to talk to someone from the company over the phone rather than text. They told me I had until the next day to pay so I called multiple times throughout the next day and my first 3 calls were not picked up, which again I didn't have a problem with as I assumed they may be having lessons. When I finally did get through I was informed that they had already given my lesson slot to someone else the day before. This is what I found unprofessional, they did not honour the deadline they had given me to pay and they did not even deign to inform me that they had done so. In addition, when I explained that I was not free for another time during the week they dropped the phone on me before we could discuss any further action.
So yes, I believe they are very unprofessional from what happened with the lesson and they have proven that they are even more unprofessional with this response. I am glad that their true colours were revealed before I wasted any money here. I hope that they take this experience and become professional in the future; unfortunately I doubt this is the case as they seem to have just enough business to continue their current practices. I have dropped my rating due to their unprofessionalism.
