One of the best general hardware shops I've found. Also has a good kitchen utensil section and a toy shop. The proverbial treasure trove.

I walked in last Week at 4.55pm and was greeted with Were about to close! No hello, Can We help with anything were just closing I understood they were closing in 5 minutes but I didnt appreciate being barked at - I work in Retail & there are more Polite ways of speaking to your Customers near closing time. Especially if youd like them to return. Not so fond of Champions after this experience. From what I remember there were a group of about 3 or 4 Staff standing around the till area and the lady who barked at me was on the Customer side and looked as though She may be pregnant.

A lovely shop, one of the originals of Wallingford. Visited for the first time in about 40+ yrs! Good for those odd things you find you need, but also good for mainstream household/garden gadgets
