It doesn't matter whether you need something repaired, revived or designed-&-made completely from new, you get the same quality of work from Roland every time. I have known him and had work from him for nearly twenty years now and his work ethic and integrity are second to none. He will put the same care into a small repair as he does with a bespoke design and it never ceases to amaze me how he can take a rough old piece of timber and turn it into something gleaming and beautiful. You certainly will find no-one better and I doubt you will ever find anyone as good. He is that rare combination of skill and scruples, things which ought to be priceless but which are offered at very reasonable cost. I discussed making a wooden ptrin (dough trough) for my microbakery with Roland, of the sort still in use in a few artisan bakeries and paysanne boulangers in France. Shortly afterwards, we began a consultative design process with which few other artisans would have been capable of engaging. The end product is a beautiful, clever and original joinery design, fit for purpose and made of the correct materials, and I continue to be supported by Roland on maintenance of the piece. The project was delivered to time and cost. Highly recommend.
