Well. You might not go here very often. It ay cheap. But it was such an amazing experience. Went for the 3 course meal. But it doesn't stop there. Snack to start was incredible. Like eating fresh air, and yet bursting with flavour. Final petit four was like dipping my spare Yorkshire's in sugar. But more doughnut like. And honey. Take the time to make someone you love happy. The Boat Inn had been on our hit list to visit since we saw Liam on Great British Menu. Honestly it was worth the wait between that day and today. We always go out for Easter Sunday Lunch every year and The Boat in was 2023's pick. The service was incredible, attentive, polite, told us about the food when it arrived at the table. The beer garden is lovely and a sun trap. The stool for your hand bag in the restaurant is a lovely touch. The sunday lunch menu was incredible. The starters were beautiful, the beef was perfectly cooked, I could have drunk the beef fat gravy from the jug, the desserts were stunning. The parkin cake was sticky and delicious. We will 100% be coming back for the tasting menu.

We went to The Boat Inn last night for a meal and we were very impressed. The pub has been very tastefully refurbished and has a welcoming atmosphere, you are greeted on entering the restaurant. The food was fantastic from thestarter to the sweet with lots of extra chef's special courses in between and a choice of about 3 choices on the set menu. There's also a taster menu for an additional 30. I couldn't fault the food, it was wonderful and the service was perfect - we counted approximately 11 staff including the chefs and everyone was very attentive as you would expect from an upmarket establishment. There was a good selection of beers on tap and an extensive wine list. Altogether it's a lovely place to eat and we will definitely be going back Parking: Large car park adjacent to the restaurant entrance.
