Stayed for 2 nights on the second day it opened. Exactly what I was looking for. The owner Holly was really friendly and informative too. Will definitely be returning! Adam

The five stars are for niceness, peacefulness, superb location, and lovely helpful owner. She let me use her facilities for free while I was on a long distance walk and refused all offers of payment. Wonderful

I was behind on my walk on Hadrians wall and came here a day later. I had friends who came to surprise me too and join me for the night. Holly was totally understanding and was kind about everything. Provided water in bottles, toilet was clean and theres a cool looking urinal for the men outside. People on the site were friendly. A mix of hikers, families, and one guy who was an excavator. We had takeaway food delivered to the campsite which was very handy. A place called Hexham has a choice of places to order from. However, the time it takes to be delivered can vary depending where you order from. All in all, I had a good time here. The site is only 2 minute walk from the path too. Thank you!

After liaising with Dill I felt so obliged to write a review - what a kind kind owner who is clearly passionate about walkers, the wall & Northumberland's nature. Truly a pleasure & can't wait for the site to reopen for camping :)
