Budgens of Walkern

Always 5* service from the guys at Walkern. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and they are happy to go out of their way to help source anything you may be struggling to get. Great range of produce from fruit and veg to the meat from Bridget B's and love the huge selection of American sweets, snacks and drinks. Definitely recommend!!

We are lucky to have a local shop as good as this. The owners and the Staff have run this shop for many years, long before it became a Budgens and they are lovely people. All the Staff here are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The store itself is very well laid out, it has a great selection and some great offers on your regular groceries. The store also has a great selection of Drink, decent on-the-go coffee, handmade sandwiches and rolls and even Vape e-liquid juice. Plus it has a post-office with good opening hours. Overall this is a great shop for such a tiny village. If you're passing through Walkern it's well worth a visit. 5* Edit. Not sure why, but the post office (even before it was a Budgens) has always made things difficult in ways that other small shops/ post offices don't. They will not let you leave a pre-paid parcel when the post office is closed, but the shop is open. Even though I never require a receipt there's just no place to leave the parcels. unfortunately there's no parcel drop box in the village either. Another small gripe, the shop will not sell stamps when the post-office is closed. Even though there are some behind the counter.

Every time I visit I am always pleased, service is great and the selection of foods is awesome some nice American or European treats that other places just don't have.

This place is unreal. A local store that has as much stuff as Supermarket, the staff are amazing, their minted lamb sandwiches are to die for and their alcohol selection is better than a pub. Ps plus Im sure they are stocking 80% of the orange twirls. Get yourself down there.
