I would like to say, thank you very so much for your help on the 22Oct2019 when my mother suddently passed away. I needed an emergency Visa; I didn't complete an online application form before I went to the Visa Centre, The manager helped me complete my online application form, and I also didn't bring any photo with me! A few other members and a manager helped take a photo with a smart phone to help complete the emergency Visa form. I got the Visa on the same day. Without their help, I wouldn't be able to arrive to my Mother's funeral on time. I couldn't thank them enough. I will never forget this.

TL;DR: you will be there for several hours, opt to collect your passport, the staff are great but just remember to bring all of the required documents. Appointment times do not matter. Expect to be there for 3 or more hours. The staff who helped me with my application were so helpful and understanding. But, they are overworked since the visa centre is so busy all the time. I saw all of the staff trying their hardest to help everyone with any problems they had (most of which were people not bringing the right documents). I opted for my passport to be posted back to me as I live too far to keep travelling to London. It seems they post everything together after they finish work on Friday, so if you get your passport posted to you it'd probably be the second Friday after your appointment. It's definitely better to collect to get your passport back sooner. Applying for a visa for any country can be really stressful, but overall I think the service from this visa centre is very good. Just know what to expect before you go.

Got in at 10:30 and left at 2pm, and this was waiting time for everyone so be prepared. 1hr to queue for a ticket, another 1.5 to be seen, and an extra 1hr for payment. Things I wish I knew: - appointment times dont matter - be the first one in queue, so go before it opens - this will bring your 3hrs down to 1hr - bring food and water - no WiFi - download a movie or something to keep you entertained - bring headphones Facilities: - toilet, mens was flooded - printer and photocopier, 50p/page - mini lift to go downstairs
