My husband won a voucher for this butchers , called in today for a mixed grill .no steak no lamb chops no pork chops instead got a gammon joint ,sausage, bacon and burgers cooked the burger s tonight had to throw them away so salty we couldnt eat them not holding out much for the rest of the meat ..

Great selection of meats (fresh and cooked), pies and pasties and amazing sausage sandwiches.

Good for cakes, but the pies are always over cooked. Service is a bit all over the place too.

I called in today for a sandwich but never again My sandwich wasnt too bad albeit burnt bacon and my husband hasnt complained about his Turkey sandwich, however, the 1 star rating is because I now wouldnt trust their hygiene. Id asked for a sausage sandwich for my mum but theyd given her bacon which I hadnt realised until I gave it to her and she went to eat it then opened up the sandwich and said it was wrong, quite possibly touching the bacon as she did so. Anyway, I returned with the sandwich to say it should have been sausage. The woman was alright about it but said theyd have to put more sausage on to cook and it would be 15 minutes so I said thats fine Id come back. Then as I was leaving I saw her in their window take the bacon out of the sandwich and put it back on the heat plate erm even without being in a pandemic yuck! Finally, when I returned 12 minutes later for the correct sandwich Id bought it was already done ready and shed used the same roll for the new sausage sandwich as it still had all the bacon fat in from 15 minutes earlier Food and service were ok but unfortunately I just wouldnt trust the hygiene after witnessing what I saw today.
