Id been working in home care for about 8 yrs but had lost all confidence in the company I was working for. I was ready to give it up completely. However Id seen the Phoenix Care offices on Denby Dale road and decided to give them a call. Nothing to lose I thought. Went in for a chat and spoke to Jo on a very informal basis. Got a really good vibe that day. Following more formal processes I was subsequently offered a position and I have not regretted accepting. Jo, Jez and their team are very hands on And know all their clients and carers personally. .. not just numbers on a spread sheet here... Always someone to talk to, get advice/help. This company genuinely has the care of its people at heart. Home care is not a job for the faint hearted .. nor is it brilliant pay. It can be physically and emotionally challenging and things dont always go to plan. (But thats true of any job) but it is SO SATISFYING! and when youve got a team along side you to help or listen and understand when things get tough... well thats why I love it. **EditIts been another 2yrs and Im still really happy with my work**

This Company cares for my Aunt. My family have used so many care companies who provide sub standard care, usually sending untrained staff, no continuity, miss calls resulting in missed medications. I work in Social care and had heard about the reputation of Phoenix Care from work colleagues. If only we had gone with them years ago. It would have saved my family the stress and upset caused. This Company is far superior to any other Home care providers out there. They provide consistency and continuity, with the times of the calls and the carers they send. It's so nice to see the carers sent, are experienced and compassionate. Communication is absolutely brilliant too. They couldn't do enough for us, making sure everything was ok on a daily basis when we first started with them. We then spoke after the first week, then spoke monthly to make sure the care package was going well. The carers often go over their time to make sure my Aunt is ok before leaving. They are such a wonderful bunch of carers. My Aunt is so much more happier and feels included in every aspect of her care. She feels human again. Thank you Phoenix Care.

This care company is amazing. We were lucky enough to be able to change from an inadequate care provider to Phoenix, and WOW!! what a difference it has made. We now have regular visits, at regular times and all care needs are met... And so much more than that. The carers have all been so kind and thoughtful with my mother-in-law, its made a positive difference to her and us. They've arranged extra things like automating medication deliveries, and have been happy to help with other things too. Our mother-in-law lives a distance from us so its been a god send to have trust in what they are providing - a stark contrast to the previous company. Tracy has been amazing too, helping to arrange a smooth transition, and they all deserve medals. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this company, they seem to treat the staff well and understand how to run an effective and efficient care service. Thank you all UPDATE Apr 2022: We are still really happy with this company, we've had consistency in carers, and the care they provide is great. So the service they provided initially wasn't just a special effort, it was their standard level of service! Of course there have been a few different carers over time, but their system is well updated and detailed in instruction, so even carers coming in for the first time know what they are doing and can get on with their job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

I have worked at phoenix care for nearly 5 years and have been made welcome from day one excellent training in House and on field. Management go above and beyond for the service users and also the staff were all treated like family Jo and jez are absolutely brilliant mangers really easy to talk to and can have a laugh with im really glad I moved from my old company to this one I'm near to my kids school, if I get called into school which i do alot jo will give me time off to get it sorted absolutely love working for phoenix care

Absolutely fantastic company to work for, when I had interview I stated the hours I could work due to childcare and they always make sure I'm given hours that I can do. I'm never given hours that I struggle with. Management go above and beyond to help if you ever need it. Training is super. All staff are fab and when I joined I felt more them welcome. Top company
