I recently renovated my home and used Formosa to renovate two bathrooms, unfortunately, from the moment the fitter arrived on site I had problems.1. The payment terms were to settle up in full on completion of the job, the fitter demanded £1,000.00 up front on day one. This caused bad feeling and an unease right from the off.2. £440.00 had been included in the costing for the removal of waste but unfortunately he brought personal items from home (child's paddling pool etc) and dumped them into my general builders skip. He dumped a number of items from the bathroom jobs in as well. This was again something which had to be dealt with when my builder became irritated about it.3. I was being charged extra to replace the soil stacks. The fitter made one of the arms running from the bath to the soil stack, out of some left over pipe which my builder had discarded in the garden. It had to be replaced.4. A very poor tiling job had to be remedied not once but twice in the main bathroom and the new toilet seat which had just been fitted had to be replaced due to it having been used as a stand for the tilers grouting bucket. It had been left covered in scratches. A different tiler was used for the second bathroom.5. The bath had to be replaced due to the tiler dropping a sharp tile into it, which left it damaged.6. The fitter continuously made comments to the effect that Formosa were charging a fortune for the products and leaving him to deal with everything on site. He continuously moaned about the fact that he was not “making any money from the job”. This created a very uncomfortable atmosphere.7. After around 10 weeks, the fitter had a melt down on the phone and out of the blue announced that he would not be completing the en-suite, he was walking off of the job.8. It then became apparent that he had stolen the vanity unit for the en-suite from my house, presumably as an insurance of being paid for the work to that date. In the end, since Formosa would not provide anyone else, and since we were already weeks over schedule, I agreed to have him back on site.9. The en-suite should have proved far easier, but unfortunately, we had even more problems. The vanity unit which had by now been returned, had been fitted in such as way as to make it impossible to sit on the toilet without banging your leg against it. This required a number of different toilets to be fitted until one was found which was not only small enough, but not damaged.10. After getting to the end of the most painful process imaginable, the fitter blocked me on WhatsApp, after writing a rant about wishing he had not taken the job and about his mental health etc.11. After having been in the property for 6 months, the following defects have been noted.12 The en-suite soil stack was too short and had no bird cage fitted. The single collar used to secure the top snapped and the whole top half had to be replaced.13. The pipe for the extraction fan in the en-suite was not connected, and so it was just extracting into the loft.14. The shaving socket in the en-suite doesn't work15. After emptying the bath one evening, the water leaked through my kitchen ceiling ruining the brand new ceiling and decoration. I now have stains over the whole of the ceiling and it will need to be fully re-decorated.Looking under the bath at the issue, the pipe was just out of the collar and bowing in the middle with no support, there was a shopping bags worth of rubbish left under the bath. All of the plastic connections were left loose and needed to be tightened.Formosa have offered no help whatsoever. I have asked for them to provide a decorator to remedy the issue in the kitchen and they have ignored my request. I have had to pay for the plumbers to come and fix the other issues. I will need an electrician to deal with the shaving socket. After spending such a large amount of money with them, I really can not recommend anyone use them for anything in the future.I had considered using Formosa to fit my kitchen. I am extremely happy that I decided against it.

Excellent service from start to finish. We're extremely happy with the results of our recent bathroom refit and would highly recommend Formosa. From the original design to completion, the service has been great. We had a number of quotes from different companies and, although Formosa weren't the cheapest, they were far from the most expensive. The difference between Formosa and all the others was they listened to everything we wanted and made it happen. We had a clear vision of how we wanted it to look and all the other companies either tried to talk us out of things or said it wasn't possible. Formosa listened to what we wanted, made suggestions along the way and the final results are amazing. Also, a big thank you to fitter Richard who did an incredible job.
