We arrived late at night after a long drive from Scotland. My wife is disabled and the single disabled spot was taken and the rest of the carpark appeared full. I asked someone where I can park and was directed to an overflow space that required me to drop down into over a kerb. As I wheeled my wife to reception in her chair I seen the car in the disabled spot had no blue badge. When I enquired at reception, the receptionist gleefully told me that she parked there because nobody had booked the accessible room and her staff carpark was full. I reminded the receptionist that not all disabled people want or need an accessible room and what she was doing was wrong on many levels. I made a formal compliant about that and her attitude but 1 month on have heard nothing. Incredibly poor! The room was very average with the usual collection of unidentified stains on things. Curtains didn't close properly but overall the room was bearable. The big downfall was the shower. It had a magnetic closing door which did not close. This meant after the shower the whole bathroom was flooded, something that judging by the water damage was not a new thing. Highlight was the breakfast which offered a good variety of hot and cold food as well as nice drinks. All self service but the dining area was clean and staff friendly. Rooms: Average
