Absolute disgrace, my Father passed away 4 weeks ago now and im still trying to get them to get the funeral payed for, he had the sapphire plan so everything was payed for. we then received a funeral bill through the post, i forwarded this to them and have heard nothing since. we are now taking legal advice...

My sister took out a funeral plan in February after my brother-in-law died 6 months earlier, she passed in March. Unfortunately she never told me what she had done, so we never used the policy. Safe hands held back 900.00 administration fee. So if you do use them please let your relatives one.

My father took out this policy, following my mothers passing it became clear that we could not use the policy with the funeral director we had chosen. 50% of the amount paid in was held back for administration costs in relation to the cancellation and numerous emails and voicemails were not responded to. Awful level of customer service for a company that should be supporting people at the most difficult time. And when I complained the response back was that because I had enquired about cancelling the policy "I was no longer a priority". After much wrangling over the money owed adn before we escalated to both the FPA and the FCA the MD felt it appropriate to send an email "wishing my family much happiness over the coming weeks and months". Total insensitivity to someone who had just lost their parent. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, AVOID AT ALL COSTS
