Wakefield Metropolitan District Council

Wakefield Council is by far the worst and most incompetent council in UK and is heading straight down as it is! Needs drastic urgent improvements in every single aspect! They can't even answer phone calls! Disgraceful services ....

This 1 star (should be 0) goes out to the destruction of the old ABC cinema, absolutely disgraceful. You let that place rot for 20 years, and yet have the nerve to apply for City of Culture while you consistently neglect and destroy places of culture and art instead of investing in them, meanwhile we get a Reel and Cineworld that show 1 film every month. But great - more useless housing and shops that add nothing to society. Pathetic & disrespectful, and well done to contributing further to the decline of film.

I spoke to a wonderful customer service advisor this morning (0915) to report a relative in hospital and spoke to a very empathetic gentleman who although couldn't help in some ways gave some great advice to pass on to the relative and put a note on the account. I'm sorry I didn't get his name but whoever it was that I spoke to deserves a huge pat on the back.

Worst IT and service systems ever!! Can't even access their website, unable to access their swimming/fitness centres for timetables. No information available on government funds available to those struggling with living etc, etc, etc
