The best fishing shop I have ever had the pleasure to visit. The guys working there are incredibly friendly and are genuinely passionate about fishing. Great to chat about fishing whilst looking at a great selection of lures, rods, reels and terminal tackle at competitive prices

Just wanted to put a big shout out for Ben at @art of fishing in wadebridge. I have been looking for a new drop shot rod and have spent hours online looking at Japanese imports daiwa gekkajin mx, tict and many other brands and almost ordered the ABU zennon online, in the end I decided it was worth the 6 hour drive down to Cornwall to visit the art of fishing shop in wadebridge having emailed Ben at the shop a day before to see if he had the 7ft 4 power icecube by tict which he did have plus a range of other options and brands in stock. So a long drive down and on entering the shop Ben said in most cases nobody leaves the shop with the rod they came to see, I was pretty set on the icecube, however, 2 hours later I left the shop with a yamaga blue current 3 6ft9 rated 0.8-7g. The key difference being, it didnt matter how many rods I picked up and played with, I just kept picking it up and comparing everything to it. It wasnt the most expensive in fact was quite a bit cheaper than the tict but it just felt right holding it, a reminder that mail order is great and convenient as are reviews online etc but nothing beats pick a rod up before you buy it. It isnt adorned with titanium rings like the tict and a couple of others so whilst still light as a feather it isnt as light as the titanium tict, but the difference I couldnt notice in my hand. Really happy with it. Thats one thing but the key reason for the post is about the shop, Ben specialises in LRF and knows his stuff well, he spent 2 hours with me to help me get the right choice, really knowledgable guy, friendly. Relaxed and made the whole experience one of real value. I left with the rod and a big bag of some of the huge range of brilliant plastics and some terminal tackle stuff. Great shop. If we want to have places where we can pick up and get to know our rods before we buy them then we need shops like this and I will certainly be buying stuff from him online in the future, top quality products, great knowledge, great service, highly recommended!
