200g FOR 7.99!!! I walked in the shop and saw a assorted box for 7.99, so I picked it up and paid for it. Got home expecting the box size of fudge but no I open it and see a bag of 6 pieces of fudge (200g) not only could I have gone to other fudge shops and for 7.99 I could get 600g of fudge. Despite the hefty price tag it is very good fudge.

We visited the Tavistock branch having been big supporters of G.W. inTintagel. What a dissapointment! Fudge not heated & beaten to high enough temp, no "crumble" just squidgy and strange we won't be going again. Also, selling clothes out of a fudge pantry was odd.

Micro aggression at its best from Granny! The lovely young assistant who kindly was about to meet my request to box up our order of fudge was undermined mid-retrieval of self-assembly boxes by Granny herself who stopped what she was doing walked over and told me there were no boxes big enough to meet my order. Looking at the well stacked shelves of pre-boxed fudge, in every size and viewing these boxes broken down and stored under the counter I requested again my order to be boxed, but this time with only a few portions hopefully then it would fit. No boxes big enough, was echoed again. How about single blocks of fudge boxed? No matter what combination I gave Granny each request was met with the same response, We dont have boxes big enough. Finally I asked if she would box the fudge if I gave a larger order. This time her response was, it depends how big an order when I increased my order she again responded to my request with, we dont have big enough boxes. She then grabbed blocks of fudge for my order using her ungloved hands, leaving the individual grease proof paper they sat on in its wake. Her young companion, who had first assisted me with the first few blocks rightly did not touch the fudge with her fingers but expertly transferred it from grease proof paper to bags. Perhaps if the colour of my skin had not been closer to her own I would have received a more favourable service from Granny.
