Ruins look great but you cant access them. A sign says essential maintenance is being carried out but there was no one working there when I visited. This might help explain why it's been closed for over 6 months now judging by other reviews.

Ancient heritage should go back to where it came from. There is no climatic control. They are out in the wind amd rain. Stone seems to have lost its original colour. The only (tenuous) excuse to hold them is that Libya has been so wrecked by Western "interventions"
