Most probably something very fishy [fraudulent] going on and should be investigated by the authorities. Have nothing to do with Douglas & Gordon [fraudulent misrepresentation?]; claim to have 30 years of experience yet were founded in 2008; claim to manage some estates that they don't; very hard to do any DD on any of the Directors or members of staff; proven to be severely conflicted with companies they award works and contracts to; chop and change service providers on a regular basis, which screams they are "skimming"; very questionable practices with the select few members of the homeowners Board (who they probably pay backhanders to) to remain in control; etc. etc. the list goes on. Hopefully the SFO look into them...

I'm extremely disappointed with this business. I am a leaseholder of a flat within a building they've managed since 2019. A few weeks before Christmas I've been sent a huge service charge bill that does not appear to take into account the 4608 I have already paid this year for S20 roof works. I've received no reply on this query, despite calling and emailing the PM Sophie several times and as soon as I received it. As a result of this I am being forced to pay a considerable sum of money that I don't believe I owe or risk being in breach of lease. This is at Christmas during a year of fees that was already twice as expensive as the 2 years prior... this most recent bill makes it 3x as expensive. I will always give people the benefit of the doubt, but we've been sent the wrong bill by this business once before. Another major grievance is the way in which the major roof work was handled. It took several months to arrange the work while we incurred water damage. During this time we were visited by multiple surveyors to scope out the work. I gave the feedback that the surveyors weren't actually climbing onto the roof itself and wouldn't be able to assess the issue properly. Eventually the work commenced scaffolding was erected and the roofers told me they were all done. Within 24hrs we then had our worst leak yet in exactly the same place. The roofers did their own analysis and thankfully rectified the problem, no doubt incurring additional expense. A separate leak caused by a neighbour's flat has been another example of a major issue. Months went by without anything being done, causing unsightly water damage and mould in the buildings common area. The leak also led to a tenant of a commercial property having to leave their office. The office is still not being used and has been vacated for months. There have been some positives they've attended to a lot of work within the building this year and rectified my water damage swiftly. Nonetheless, the negatives far outweigh the positives for me.
