Amazing roast dinner, pork belly was phenomenal. Lovely service from everyone there but Justina our server was great! Tried all the pubs in Wimbledon Village for food, and the Rose and Crown is the best in my opinion. Definitely worth a visit. Lovely atmosphere

Sadly, I cannot find anything at all positive to say. I had the roast beef for Sunday lunch. It was some of the worst roast beef I have ever hard, tremendously tough. I would have been embarrassed to serve it to friends and the Rose and Crown should have been embarrassed to charge for it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and raised by concerns via an email the next day after visiting. This was 13 days ago. They have not bothered to address my email at all. This further enhances the reasons why one shouldnt eat there. Youngs should look at themselves as a business. Servicing poor food is one thing but then totally ignoring an unhappy customers email is another. So unprofessional. I gave them 13 days to defend themselves. They have ignored my email hence this post.

We have been to the Rose and Crown several times before. We have stayed in the rooms, had meals in the restaurant, and a Sunday lunch here in the past and have always been happy with the food and service. However on a recent visit for Sunday lunch we were very disappointed with the service. We arrived on time for our 3pm reservation and seated at our table with menus just as the Governments emergency alarm went off on everyone's phones. And that was it, it was like we were sat at the invisible table. No one came back to ask if we would like a drink or if we were ready to order. It was busy so we allowed the time to pass but when we saw a table of people come in 30 minutes after us and have their orders taken we had to go find and ask if someone could come and take ours. It was 3.40pm. A bottle of wine and a bottle of water was delivered fairly promptly but just dumped on the table. Good job the wine had a screw cap! We then waited till around 4.15/4.20pm until our meals were delivered. And now we become invisible again. The table that came in 30mins after us have had their puddings, paid and gone. We are waiting for our empty plates to be cleared and the offer of a dessert menu. After 30mins at 5.15 we get up again to go and get someone. Plates were cleared and desert menus delivered but yet again nobody comes back to us to take an order! At 5.40 we have had enough. Another table next to us has come in had their main, and desert, and are getting ready to go. Again we get up to get someone to bring us our bill and this time somebody came fairly quickly. This may have been because we were putting on our coats and picking up our suitcases. The bill was duly paid, no gratuity added and we went somewhere else for a desert and more drinks. The one star I have given is for the meal itself, the roast beef was lovely. Such a shame it was let down by such poor service.
