Mr Paul Ursell recently operated on my 90 year old mother who was terrified about her surgery. Mr Ursell put her at ease, never patronising her and made the whole experience very positive. We both highly recommend this very skilled surgeon.

Paul Ursell was extremely reassuring and gave me detailed notes as to what to expect in advance, the whole experience was stress free, fast and painless and everyone made me feel very comfortable. Both eyes have been a big success.

Have had both eyes done by Mr. Ursell with complete success and have much clearer eyesight than before. The procedure is quite comfortable, quick and not at all alarming. I awoke the next morning after the second op and couldn't see anything from the eye which was somewhat scary, but it cleared within a few days and is now perfect. Perhaps a warning of this would avoid unnecessary worry!

Options and risks were explained at initial consultation; after mulling over for a couple of days I decided to proceed with both eyes on basis of no longer requiring glasses for long distance. Procedure was quick, no pain afterwards, good chats with other patients and gained the anticipated outcome within 2 days; by obtaining some cheap reading glasses was back at computer screen for work within 48 hours. Check up 10 days after 1st eye procedure was all positive so proceeded with 2nd eye and that had an equally good outcome.

I was originally having the standard lens fitted, as provided by the NHS. Then I decided that I would look at my other options and made a consultation appointment with Mr. Paul Ursell as I was considering having a tri-focal type of lens fitted. He explained that because I had astigmatisms in both eyes, he didn't think this was the right lens for me and that a toric lens would be my best option which would help to correct the astigmatisms. He explained the benefits of having the toric lens fitted to both eyes and I had operations on both eyes within 2 weeks of each other. I am very pleased with the outcome and cannot remember ever having such good eyesight as I have been wearing spectacles for many years. Would certainly recommend Mr. Paul Ursell to anyone who has to have a cataract operation.
