Bad experience, my child never settled there, always looked unhappy and miserable on pick up. The children are bored in their setting. This play school had so many issues. Number one staff seem apprehensive to work with children that may be harder to settle (attached to parent), they do not try to even settle the child, just phone the parent up over small things. I was sending my child in for 5hour sessions and told to take her 2 hours early on DROP OFF!! because they anticipate that she would cry (without even seeing how she reacts on the day). They want children that are easily settled in, those rare children that skip in on the first day, or have been in the setting since infant/baby period.. well this is not a reality chestnut, maybe the rooms wouldnt be so empty if they treated toddlers like toddlers and not have adult expectations from them. And one staff member does not know how to speak like a well mannered adult herself, she has such a loud and high volume, and overall rude and obnoxious attitude, its alarming she must speak to the children like this, and struggles to switch off the ms trunchaball mode around parents. Luckily I have found a great nursery, and my child seems to be settling in there well. I guess thats one positive, I knew the signs of a bad play school through my experience with John Perry- chestnut
