I recently hired Southwark Handyman Service for some repairs around my home in Chelsea, and I couldnt be happier than with the service provided to me. Steven, the handyman was professional, courteous, and efficient. He was knowledgable about the repairs and offered useful tips to stop things happening again, in the future. The work was completed to my satisfaction, with a great deal of attention to the detail too. I would highly recommend Steven, an excellent service at a competitive price. Thanks for all of your help. Its a relief to finally have such a good builder in my address book. Very impressed at the way everything was cleaned up too before he left. Youd never have known he was even here.

I contacted Southwark Handyman via his webpage with details of the job. I received no response. After a few days I called - there was an answer machine which then cut me off, not allowing me to leave a message. I sent another message through the webpage. After five days, no response. I'm not impressed. You are harrassing me with phone calls and voice messages and have just turned up on my doorstep un-announced which is very intimidating. This is not acceptable and I will have no alternative but to report you if you continue to bully and harrass me. I left, what I felt was a fair review of my contact with your company. You have also deliberately put my address in your response.

Used Southwark Handyman as an emergency call out after returning home to find my washing machine had (and still was) leaked through to the below flat. Steven dealt with the problem quickly and efficiently and even took the time to visit and calm down my neighbour and check over her electrics too. Very professional and reassuring, wouldnt hesitate to recommend. Service: Repair water fixtures

This was great. Firstly Stephen actually answered the phone ( a real person when I had been getting answerphone after answerphone from other advertised "emergency" handymen). Secondly he was here within the promised time of 40 minutes...actually 5 minutes earlier than his estimate . Thirdly he was nice, friendly, wore a mask and shoe covers ( (and obviously work clothes too!) and fixed the emergency problem quickly and effectively. I had opened the sash window in my bedroom too low and it was stuck fast on wide open ( which given the fact that the other night we were in below freezing temperatures was not an option ). Stephen fixed it effectively and quickly. Highly recommended!Will call him again in my next emergency...

I contacted Steven back in September 2022 to do some simple works in my rented property, some bathroom resealing and minor re-grouting etc.... I needed someone local and Steven seemed reliable and responsive at first but he cancelled the appointment at the last minute. He assured me he would rearrange the appointment directly with the tenant. What followed was me trying to chase him up over the following weeks and months, with me sending multiple emails and leaving multiple voice messages before finally getting him on the phone. He said the job wasn't a priority but he'd do it when he was feeling better, which would be soon. I said sure no problem, no pressure. All the while my flat was getting more damp damaged and tenants complaining. It's now 6 months later and he is not responding to my emails. The man is useless, unresponsive and a terrible communicator. His website says no job too small but that's a downright lie. If he can't or doesn't want to do the job, he should just say so and be straight with clients rather than keep them hanging and making them jump through hoops just to reach him. Avoid this man and look for someone more reliable. Service: General repairs
