We always love coming here with our girls - the staff are lovely (all of them, but Tori & Rhian in particular who always go that extra mile!). The kids love the food - spaghetti bolognaise always goes down a treat - and the cakes & coffees are great too. As well as coming on the weekends, weve also had a birthday party here recently which was so easy & fun for everyone that came. Such a little gem in Herne Hill!!

Dietary restrictions: No gluten free option, when asked I was told: is vegan ok? Staff no properly trained.

My granddaughter, Olive, and I love Apple Tree Childrens Cafe! It's such a lovely place to take a small child. Olive is very confident in the play area and the staff are lovely. Toasted sandwiches are great and the coffee is really good.

Disappointing. Went into the dulwich/Peckham branch on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. Asked for a coffee and babycino and was told at this point that I needed to pay an additional 7.50 for the currently play session. I couldnt really afford the extra expense and I explained that it was our first time here and I thought it was just a kids cafe and said Id just take the coffees and go as a takeaway order and the very disinterested waitress said thats fine but you still have to pay as youve come in here. In the end we paid over 11 and stayed 25 mins so my daughter could play for a short time. My coffee was brought over after 15 mins and was wrong (black, not white like Id asked) By this time I was ready to leave. Would not recommend unless youre a dulwich yummy mummy. 100% white & middle class. My idea of hell. They need more signage near the door to indicate the 7.50 charge for stepping over the threshold, or maybe a visit from the ASA for calling themselves a cafe.
