Shocking customer service, walked in with three floor staff, we were the only customers in there, after 10 mins of being ignored we walked out...

Our magnet kitchen is just over 12 months old and after a short period of 6 months we noticed in the corner of some units there were dark patches appearing, we noticed the top layer on the cupboard was bubbling up very slightly, within a couple of months it got worse and worse we noticed it on more of the cupboards, we spoke to magnet who suggested it was some sort of water damage, (who would have thought a kitchen that reacts to water), magnet replaced the cupboard door and draw panel however another cupboard door seemed to have the same issue occurring, just over 12 months and this damage has occurred on two cupboard doors and two draw panels, all in all this shouldn't be happening to 10k kitchen within 12 months, I would have expected a kitchen unit to not react like this if it is water that's causing the issue, you would expect a kitchen to be a bit more water resistant, Now to top it all our oven isn't working, Very difficult to recommend magnet based upon this experience. The quality of the kitchen is the worse I've ever experienced.

We chose kitchen units along with a range and dishwasher just before the the first lock down, all ordered and paid for at the now closed Truro branch. Luckily all this was stored in Magnet's warehouse until lock down lifted. We were allocated a sub contractor who started removing the old kitchen,.That entailed dis-connecting a gas hob and numerous electrical fittings leaving cables amd sockets exposed (I had to employ another electrician to make cables safe). I also employed a gas engineer to make safe the gas connection. We then endured a number of weeks chasing Magnets contractor and various salesmen to progress the work. Telephone calls and e mails went unanswered. This was a constant theme until the kitchen was finished. Even then many aspects needed finishing. We would not employ Magnet again, nor would we recommend the company, Extremely stressful time, nothing like the claims in their glossy brochure. The only positive aspect was the performance of a salesman called Kieran EARLY worked hard to sort out many probems.
