Balfe's Bikes Hackney

I went into Balfes today for the first time to enquire about getting my tyres pumped. And Nuno was very helpful and professional. I explained to him the problem I had before with my bike pump and he gave me some very useful information and pumped up my tyres for me today. He even helped me put on my reflector lights! Thank you Nuno!

Unfortunately I had a dire experience at Balfe's Hackney today. After a year of using Balfe's for bike services and repairs and racking up probably 1000s of pounds spent, I was told essentially I had a two week wait for the service I'd booked in almost a month prior. The previous customer was told they would have their bike back in a couple of days. But after a visibly frictious row between the staff and mechanic, next in line (me) was not only talked down to in an unprovoked shirty rude manner, I was told the wait would be considerably longer than expected. In sum, rude staff, mechanic clearly tearing his hair out and overworked, leaving without my bike sorted after loyally using this shop for a long time. Bit of a shame but won't be coming back.
