Just want to give a big Thank You to the crew working on Great Preston Road in Ryde on 13-June-2022. The property they are working at is right next door to us. The neighbor moved out last Autumn. They didn't maintain the garden when they lived there and since they left it is really overgrown with brambles. This was great for the wildlife but now the council brought in a crew from WTS to clear the property. We talked to the crew to warn them there are hedgehogs living on the property and to please look before they start cutting at the ground level. We told them if they found a hh to come get us and we would move it to one of the empty houses in our garden. Not 20 minutes after this conversation one of the workers knocked to say they found a hh. I went over and made sure it was alone with no babies/juveniles and then brought it to ours to be rehomed in one of the four empty hh houses we have in our garden. Kudos and thanks to Wight Tree Surgery for their help in saving one of the UKs most beloved and endangered wildlife.
