After purchasing a car through Zuto for my son, I have to say I have mixed feelings regarding Wanstead Carriages, firstly we got told collection would be this week. now we are told next week. No communication from the garage I had to chase this response through Zuto. (Pls read the whole post). Rather dissapointed that I have had to to all the running, payment has been made and the car is now my property, but the garage has not contacted me once since giving them 8k Lets see if they contact me next week and update me on MY property. As a local Google reviewer. There is an expectation that one would be updated and maybe even thanked for making a purchase to their company, sadly it seems WC Ltd dont feel the same way, presently, I wouldnt recommend them to others, hopefully they will contact me and change my mind. Originaly purchased 28/03/2023 - still no communication from WC Ltd, again not overly impressed thus far... Update to follow... 03/04/2023 @ 20.40 Well after a call tonight It was explained that they had been keeping me informed, I believe the car is going to be ready on Wednesday morning, it was good to be informed of whats going on, my son has been calling WC daily for updates (shame he didnt tell me). Someone at WC Ltd went out of their way to call me out of hours to give me the good news.. I am hoping on Wednesday morning I can give them 5 stars - the guy on the phone explained the process very cleary. Update to follow, Had a lovely email from one of the two directors this morning (04/04/2023) then a call from the 2nd Director, both had taken some personal time off and stayed open for their customers, without their expert guidance, the team struggled, on a positive, the car will be ready for pick-up at 1030am tomorrow and a few extras free-of charge from the Directors. Its very nice that although an unforseen circumstance caused a situation, the situation was rectified once senior management got involved, despite my primary complaint of very little contact and poor service, there were extenuating circumstances which caused the miscommunication. And on a final note, in contrast to my earlier statement, I would hand on heart recomment this company Wanstead Carriages for your next car or first car. because when things go wrong, they want to put it right. Dont be disheartened if things happen, just give them a chance to put things right. I promise you wont stay dissapointed for very long!! Jason.

I wouldnt recommend this place to buy a 2nd hand car, after weeks of time and money spent I had to walk away from a deal as faults with the car kept cropping up and it wasnt being sold as advertised, the owners acted like they didnt know about the faults either and were ultimately happy to sell me a car with multiple issues and a dodgy MOT record. Please dont bother writing a response to try and explain away these issues.
