Melissa's Magical Years Day Nursery

Melissas Magical years is an outstanding nursery. I am pleased that I had chosen this nursery for my son and will highly recommend it to others too. Khang had become more confident and went to nursery with a big smile. The management and staff are extremely welcoming and staff communication is really good. The nursery uses a holistic approach when teaching children, especially when I viewed the nursery, they had facilities for all children. I couldnt have been happier and reassured with the nursery, they are wonderful and I would like to thank the nursery so much. Sad that Khang doesnt attend here anymore but in the near future if I needed a nursery for him I would definitely return.

The staff at Melissas magical years have been amazing for my son and settling him into the nursery. All the staff have been very helpful and patient with me as first time mum going back to work after having my son. Thank you girls your all amazing!

The worst thing I can say about Melissa and her team is that it was an incredibly sad day to say goodbye to them. Our son went there from the age of one almost to three, and he loved every minute of it. They are kind, considerate, helpful, and flexible. Flexibility in particular was very important to me and my family due to our commitments, and Melissa made sure that we and our little one were well looked after and made to feel like we mattered, and I truly believe that, to her and her team, we absolutely did matter. Their childcare standards were great, allowing easy monitoring of progress through an app which was regularly kept up to date and included development milestones accompanied by heart-warming photos of our little one. Whenever a potential problem arose in terms of how best to help our child develop, Melissa was a great help in trying to help us access assistance for our child, writing letters and making referrals as appropriate and without any delay. Honestly, I cannot recommend this charming place enough, and they truly were magical years not only for our child, but for us as a family. Thank you, Melissa and the team, for everything you did for us!

Staff is not stable, every two to three months you will see new faces in the nursery. I have seen this at least 4 times in the past one year. Staff should be very welcoming into the nursery however over here, only two staff members out of more than 15 I had seen in past one year were welcoming babies nicely with a smiley face otherwise most of the times, you will end up leaving your kid crying and following the person by walking behind them rather than they giving cuddles to them.. Hygiene was poor, it could have been maintained nicely. There is a baby & toddler room however all the babies most of the time would be present only in the toddler room/pre scholer room. Staff behaviour could have been better, some of the staff were rude at times. Nursery as a general can not take an honest opinion. My kid had sensitive skin and we requested at least 50 times that nappy cream needs to be applied every time when nappy gets changed, however quite often it was getting missed. After meals, quite often the staff won't clean the kids properly and when you ask them why your kids are dirty after 1-2hours of meal time, they will always have some sort of an excuse. After seeing this happening more often we complained about it to them, instead of being sorry and apologetic. The reply was "if you are unhappy with the nursery, it's best to alternate childcare" and within a few minutes we got an email stating that our contract was terminated. They could have taken this point as an improvement. I really would have given it a 0 star if there is an option :) however I am giving one because we were given an option to choose our desired timings rather than morning/afternoon slot timings. We were lucky enough to find another nursery in the meantime and I am glad that my kid is in good hands now :)

My daughter had a great time at this nursery last year. There were a variety of activities and it reflected very well on her ability to communicate and socialise. We really liked the diary they gave her at the end of the year. Melissa was always super helpful and easily approachable.
