Whelan's Uxbridge

This is One of my favorite haunts, and truly is a well deserved experience for everyone that goes and like a good time. Staff are diligent, speedy and cheerful, some even more positive than you'd normally expect. Security is well organized and cares for the safety of the people within and the venue surrounds. Toilets are adequate, though the bolts in the stall always seem to broken. Anyways, best Irish venue around, even some live acts and djs frequently as well as karaoke. Though check the notice boards for upto date acts and schedules. 1 star for food, as only offering crisps and kinda stuff. If you want good food , pop down to Nonna Rosa , then come back to Whelan for a Good ol'night !!

A few months ago I went to Whelan's for a quick lunch. The ambience was friendly and I decided to have a chickpeas veg curry. I was really looking forward to it but sadly what I got was a bunch of vegetables in a sauce and the rice and a naan that asted horribly. I though initially I had just been unlucky and I just did not like the plate, then after leaving I remembered, there were not chickpeas at all in the plate. I don't know what they gave me, whatever it was, it was not the dish they advertise and it makes me question what they are serving their customers and if it is safe to eat there.
