        We had many faults after moving into our new Persimmon built home. Almost eight years later we are about to move out and their poor workmanship has caused a serious problem yet again. A pipe, that we or our neighbours didnt really know what it was for, as it is not on our land, so have no direct access to it. We found out it was from our hot water system/storage tank but due to the poor workmanship the pipe was sloping slightly upwards into the house and not downwards away from the house. Due to an issue in the airing cupboard water had been flowing down this pipe and due to the exit pipe fault the water ran back into our lounge, unknown to us due to wall units, resulting in wet carpet, sodden skirting board and damaged decoration. A cheap simple solution would have been to have a copper elbow on the exit pipe so that back flow would have been impossible. Wouldnt recommend Persimmon Homes and would never buy another.
