        The choice and quality of the real ale is seccond to none. It is NOT posh it's a drinking pub 150 years of history and the decor is similar.

        Contrary to a previous headline on google saying it was "permanently closed", this pub is definitely open, has not closed and I enjoyed a super real ale stout at 3 a pint this lunchtime.

        A fantastic historical pub. Well worth a visit. Bare in mind they dont take card payments. Chatty, friendly locals. Fireplace in both rooms. Good selection of real ales, two ciders. Bargain prices.
