Return visit April 2023. Wardens very helpful and friendly. Previous occupants of our pitch had left several cigarette butts..... Please don't do this Smokers. Highly recommend the Hanley Swan Inn for amazingly good food. UPDATE December 2021....we decided to give this site another chance after our disastrous visit a few years ago. SO GLAD WE DID. New wardens have totally transformed this site. We were given a perfect welcome by the warden who was friendly and efficient. Level pitch. Excellent water, waste, CDP, rubbish and recycling etc. Well done to the new wardens.... And thank you. Stayed here for two nights with friends. We were greeted by a jobsworth who managed to stress us out before we had even parked our Camper. Our friends were an hour behind us stuck in motorway traffic. We had booked AND FULLY PAID for both pitches but the sullen, rude warden seemed to delight in telling us they could not guarantee adjoining pitches . He also took great delight in telling us that the rules of the Camping and Caravan club have been in place for 50 years and they was no chance of them changing. What an unpleasant 'welcome'. Not only shall we never use this site again but we are considering leaving the Club for one that is moving with the times and delights in making their visitors feel both welcome and relaxed. Such a pity.
