Uppingham Auction Rooms

I won 24 lots but they refused to sell one to me at the online hammer price, saying that it should have had a reserve. Their T&Cs fail to include specific collection dates. 2 of my winning lots were withdrawn. 4 of my winning lots could not be found! Despite advising that 1 was at their other site and then later saying it couldn't be found. How do you lose a Meissen Tureen?!! So to summarise: Refusal to sell goods at the online hammer price, lack of clear terms and unable to supply advertised and auctioned goods that have been paid for. Be very careful of any sales marked as collection from Uppingham only!!!

A sister company to Stamford Auction Rooms, this friendly, professional auction house is a great place to sell anything from antique watches, china and jewellery to mid 20th Century furniture and militaria. Fair terms and conditions - you won't get ripped off here! The sale days are great fun for buyers, too. With no middleman, most items are much cheaper than in local antique shops!
