Homely, comfortable holiday cottage set in a beautiful area. The owners have gone out of their way to make this a wonderful base to explore the surrounding area. There is art on the wall, comfortable seating, internet, TV, and bookcase with excellent material on the Dales. The whole house has a lovely feel about it, and it suited our family of four perfectly. There are lots of walks on the doorstep, we walked along the river, up Buckden Pike, and explored the surrounding area. We found most recommended attractions are less than 50mins away, Birmham rocks which is a must, Bucken Pike via the waterfalls, Bolton Abbey, Malham Cove which is also a must do, Ribblehead viaduct, and Aysgarth Falls. We also found the time for dinner at the Buck Inn which is a 2 min walk from the cottage. If you want to prepare and cook your own food, the kitchen has everything you need. Finally, the bed is very comfortable, a perfect place to retire after a day of clambering up and down hills.
