Both times we've visited for dinner over the last year the staff ignored us. The first time, my partner went to the bar to ask if she could place a food order and the waitress said "can you sit down and come back in five minutes I'm busy right now". The second time, we told them we had a reservation and asked if we could sit at the vacant table near the bar - the waiter said yes no problem. Half an hour later he told us to move as someone had reserved table, so we reminded him we also have a reservation and he said oh ok there's a table for 2 in the back. He went off to seat the other guests at their table and left us standing in the middle of the dining room with no idea where to go. We found the table we assume he was referring to and sat down. After sitting there for another 30 minutes we decided to go ask at the bar for a menu as we were never given one. When collecting the menu the waiter looked shocked to see us, as if he assumed we'd evaporated when he shooed us away earlier. We waited another 30 minutes, but nobody came. In the meantime a large group was seated next to us and served straight away and now were looking at the dessert menu. I went to the bar to order food and was told a waiter will come and take my order because they won't take them at the bar. We waited another 20 minutes. By now a table of 2 were seated on our other side and starting to eat their meal. We grabbed a waitress and explained yet again that we've been waiting well over an hour but she didn't take our order either and instead sent someone else to do it a few minutes later. We were polite and understanding throughout but the reality is it was not particularly busy, we had booked days in advance, and I sensed an attitude in the waitress who finally took our order. The food is quite good but definitely not good enough to warrant the hassle.
