We were stuck in the unexpected snow leaving Ashdown Forest and were towed up the hill by a tractor (huge thanks to everyone involved). We were told that the Village Hall had been opened for refreshments, warmth and a safe space. As all the roads were apparently unpassable we availed ourselves of this generous hospitality and regrouped there. Eventually we struck out and made it home. Thank you so very much. With all the selfishness in the world right now it showed that on an individual level humanity still thrives.
