This is the most beautiful cottage in a lovely, peaceful setting. It is well equipped with everything you need and more. The host left us with great local produce to try, maps for walks and shopping tips for more beautiful produce. There are local pubs to eat in if you don't want to cook at home. The Hay Barn is perfectly located for some of Hampshire's great sites like Gilbert White's House and Gardens, Old Winchester Hill and of course Jane Austen's house! We are definitely planning to visit again...

We have very fond memories of our wonderful weekend away at The Hay Barn! It has been recently refurbished and is stylish, yet homely. We were very comfortable and surprised by how much space there was for the four of us. Hay Barn is well equipped; even the children were entertained by the books and games on offer. We enjoyed walks from the front door out into the beautiful countryside, and a delicious lunch in the nearby Greyfriars pub (a short drive away) then a visit to the charming Jane Austen's House Museum, which the children still talk about. The Hay Barn is a lovely quiet place to retreat to, with easy access to the countryside straight from the front door. All in all, we had a great weekend and hope to return!
