If it's a summer getaway, winter downtime or just self isolation away from the crowds, Burrow Hill cottage is your great country escape. The owners Caroline and Christopher are super helpful and friendly making sure your holidays are as peaceful as possible. We're a family of 4 and there's enough room for everybody. Nice new kitchen and well appointed bathrooms with an outdoor deck for the summer days. There are plenty of miniature ponies in the paddocks and horses around as the owners offer livery services. The closest town Hemyock is only a 15 minute slow walk to get to. Don't get too excited if you're chasing cafes and bars as Hemyock is not for you - this is country life with a small country village. There are a couple of convenience stores, doctors surgery, a pub, church and a few other shops but this is the quiet life. Head to Exeter if you're looking for city action - head to Burrow Hill cottage to recharge your soul!

A really delightful cottage in tranquil grounds. Easy access to Devon's historic places and a must for walkers of all ages. Caroline and Chris, cottage owners, make you feel very welcome and have made a well presented holiday home with all amenities for comfort and pleasure. Local wildlife is abundant and we were greeted on our last day with the presence of a young red deer close by in the garden.
