My wife and I just stayed here for our honeymoon and what a perfect place this is! The hosts truly have carved out a slice of countryside paradise with this property. We stayed here for just under a week and loved every minute of it. There was beautiful bird song all around as you are located within a wooded area and trees surround the property. The comfort facilities can't be faulted, from the luxurious sauna, and the hot tub (which 2 people can lie down in, I'd never even seen ones like that before), to the stunning walk in shower, stand alone bath, or log wood fire! Somehow I didn't manage to get any photos of the bathroom, but it really is stunning. An incredible stand alone bath, huge and beautiful sink, an illuminated bathroom mirror, and tiled walk in shower with the wall curving around it. The kitchen features all the facilities a couple could ask for, from a coffee machine that not only grinds whole coffee beans, but was pre-filled with them for us for when we arrived, through the oven which also features as a microwave, to the full selection of styles of glasses, plates, bowls, cutlery and gas hob utensils you could possibly have a need for! The bed is huge and super comfortable (I know it's not a big thing, but it's nice to know there are two mains plug sockets either side of the bed behind the bed-side tables), and there's a sizeable wardrobe complete with iron, ironing board and hair dryer! The TV was great and there was also several shelves of DVDs available underneath the kitchen bar, including those of some surprisingly recent films and TV shows. Location wise, this is less than 10 minutes from a car park down in Lyme Regis from where you can walk down into town or directly to the coast, with plenty of places to eat (including lots of plant-based options), plenty of places to drink, and plenty of entertainment and interest. There is free Wifi available there too. lt's not a fast speed, but this isn't the sort of place you are likely to stay if you want to be downloading loads all day. It's plenty fast enough for checking your emails, using WhatsApp, searching something on Google etc. but part of the beauty of this place is it's settings and it's immersion into the wooded natural world, so whilst you're there, try and get away from the screens where possible and enjoy the sights. That could be heading down to the coast and finding a fossil, or kicking back in the hot tub and watching the birds in the trees! As I mentioned, we stayed here for an important time of our lives and we are so happy with our choice. The property, the facilities, the layout, the location, everything, it was all beautiful and perfect for what we were after!
