Elmhurst Short Stay Service

My husband should have stayed for 2 weeks, unfortunately it wasn't for him, nothing to do or stimulate him, no activities at all. Staff were very helpful, meals were excellent but after 2 days he came home.

I am writing this review on behalf of my friend Andrea Baldwin (55) who stayed 8 days in February. Lovely environment, food was lovely, clean and tidy. NIce bedroom. Staff were absolutely brilliant and welcoming, I would definitely stay again.

Absolutely disgusting place. The carer who was looking after my 95 year old mum let her fall on the floor and never told us. My mum rang for her career in the night, my mum said I'll slip on the floor with nothing on my feet, to which the carer replied "you wont", but guess what? She did. When my mum said "oh no how am I going to get up now" to which she replied "you got down there, you can get up". When I asked about this I was told that she never even logged it in the book. They wont tell us what the outcome is because my mum never signed the complaint form and it is because of GDPR even though they told me the details weren't logged. So for all we know it could be a complete cover up.

My daughter loves going here for a little break . Staff are great with her and always make sure she has gluten free shopping in for her
