STAY CLEAR OF THIS LETTING COMPANY. From start to finish it has been no short of a complete scam. Firstly the letting agent who showed us around the flat initially advertised the property with features that we were not given access to when moving in, most notably a shared driveway. During the tenancy we was extremely underrepresented by the agency, we had our window smashed by workmen the landlord had contracted, which we have now been charged for after moving out. Since moving out the agency has tried to take nearly our entire deposit without providing proper invoices and receipts. We have been charged for damage we havent made as well as entire new pieces of furniture for no reason, not to mention 250 for cleaning after we throughly cleaned before moving out. The agents at this company are simply yes men to landlords, they refuse to use any common sense to resolve situations. I had to contact the police several times due to aggression from a neighbours, something that the agency simply disregarded and entirely failed to represent our point of view to the landlord. I cannot stress how awful this company is, they have caused me Girlfriend and I no end of stress during and after our tenancy. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Could not be more pleased with SSL. Rented accommodation through them for 3 years, and from what I've heard we had the best experience compared to every other lettings agents. No agency fees was great as poor students, they are prompt dealing with any issues you bring to them, super clear about what they expect in terms of cleaning and house maintenance, very friendly when you go to them with queries and always available! The office on campus was very helpful for us to communicate with them, and Sophie Cannon especially has made our time in student accommodation run smoothly and has provided lots of guidance, above and beyond what we would've expected and greatly appreciated!

A very helpful team that actually tried to help whenever they can. There is no comparison to other letting agencies in Brighton, apart from the money they actually care about their tenants. As a house we received all our help from Sophie which is amazing.

Renting through Sussex Student Lettings is one of the best decision my housemates and I could have made. Theyve been amazing with us, the whole team at SSL is wonderful, always available to help with any concerns or issues with speedy replys or a simple and quick visit to the on campus office. Their dedication to student renters is really appreciated by myself and everyone I know who have rented with them. From the beginning of the tenancy until the very end they truly taken care of us, especially Sophie who has made the experience of renting in Brighton easy and stress free, helping us in anyway she can which really contributed to our enjoyment of renting with SSL for 3 years!
