Shrinking Violet Photography

Lou was the photographer at our wedding (March 2023) and we honestly cant recommend her enough. From the first call we knew Lou was our kind of person shes relaxed, kind and funny and understood our aversion to anything too posed and weddingy. The photos are exactly what wed hoped for, a few portraits of us and family for the mantelpiece but (more importantly) lots of candid photos of us and our guests enjoying ourselves and of the little details wed have missed otherwise. A lot of our guests have mentioned how great she was at putting people at ease, including those who hate having their picture taken, and it honestly just felt like Lou was one of the guests. Louise photographed my daughter's baptism a few weeks ago and she was fantastic. She was warm & friendly, and the photographs she produced were lovely, capturing lots of small intimate moments from the ceremony. I would definitely consider her to photograph special events for us again in the future, and highly recommend her to others.

When we got our date set for our Wedding Day I had already this lady in mind to do our wedding photography. Louise is amazing at her work and makes you feel so at ease throughout the day. Communication before and after the day was just brilliant. Louise even took the time to visit the wedding venue and church before the wedding day to get some ideas, If you want a photographer who is super professional talented and experienced, Louise is your lady.
