Love this walk. It is on the outskirts of Kendal. Lovely views over Lith Valley and South Lakes.

A shelter and viewpoint on top of the scout scar crags. It has great panoramic views of the lake district, the Yorkshire dales, and the hills around Morecambe Bay. It is in a sparse woodland filled with wildlife, including Robins, Wrens, Jackdaws, and Ravens. It's a short walk from the car park, but I'd recommend walking up from Kendal if you have the time.
