Two ways of walking up to the monument a long easy way or a sharp hike. It's well worth the vistas from the top. You can see the mountain range in the lake district and the vast expans of morcambe Bay.

What a great view at the top! Thoroughly enjoyed finding out more about the monument and its history from the fantastic volunteers. My eldest found Les to be particularly amusing and informative. Being able to purchase a cup of coffee was an added bonus/reward.

Well worth the walk to the top. To look out at views around. The tower is good to see. The path up to the tower is qiuet steep in places. But there is plenty of benches for you to rest on and taking the views. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it would be difficult to use a wheel chair.but but they may be another way up there.i am not sure.
