Really unprofessional and disappointing experience, avoid at all costs! Me and my partner booked to view a house in Ulverston. First, the person who showed us around knew less than we did about the property (didn't know if it was furnished or unfurnished, or even price). We asked the estate agent for forms during viewing because we loved the property, but he provided one when we required two since there are two tenants, despite us telling him we would both be tenants during the viewing. We managed to get Ross's to email us an extra form but the scan had cut some vital information off and didn't match the form provided at the viewing. We asked if they could send a non-cut off form and they sent us the same one again. We applied the same day we viewed and were the first to apply. We were still waiting two weeks later to hear anything after phoning frequently, with them telling us that we would be updated soon. We decided to offer the landlord more money because we were concerned this was the issue (we were told several other people had applied as well and the landlord was deciding between the applicants). They said the agent dealing with the property wasn't in the office that day so we would hear back with the decision the next morning. I called them in the afternoon the next day after not hearing anything and they told me that the property had been rented out. They said they had tried to ring my partner about our higher offer but because she had no signal (she was on holiday and we specifically told Ross's to contact me) they couldn't get through. They decided not to email either of us or phone me despite having my number and gave the property to someone else. We won't ever be using Ross's again. We were so let down and missed out on a property we really loved because of their incompetence, and the landlord missed out on a higher rent. I would advise to avoid at all costs.
