Total beginner to this but found the whole experience fun and very rewarding. There was a great welcoming atmosphere and I will definitely go again. I want to gain skills for my own personal self defence and Aikido Ulverston is the place to go !

I have trained many times with Walt Sensei and his students and have really enjoyed the classes. The dojo atmosphere has been focused around a learning environment with martial discipline and enjoyment. Everyone is respectful and welcoming - particularly with beginners. This is a dojo with a good technical standard from a traditional Aikido lineage. Looking forward to my next visit.

A very friendly Dojo who will welcome new students and those with an existing martial arts background. The Instruction team work well together and continue to develop their own knowledge by working with a diverse range of Aikido influences to ensure they are able to offer excellent classes to all levels of students whether young or older, male or female, experienced or new. I would very much recommend trying a class with this Dojo if I were looking for an interesting activity that is a little different to regular sport or exercise.
