Had the best weekend away at the Butlers House in Ulverston, all three of us have loved it. The house is beautifully decorated and well maintained with lots of nice touches. We hope to come back again soon, thanks for having us.

Had an excellent stay at the Butlers House. Mel is a brilliant host. Great communication and very accommodating. The house is beautiful, with great facilities and well located for visiting the area. We love it here and would highly recommend!

This is a lovely little place - cosy, comfortable, and decorated to a high standard. The wood burner really heats the lounge up quickly if there's a chill in the air, and the radiators do a great job in the rest of the house. Nice bathroom with a wonderful shower, though the lock seems to be broken or at least temperamental at the moment. Surprisingly little noise from the road outside. Things to note: noise travels really clearly from the kitchen up to the twin room so don't put any light sleepers in there, and parking is a bit of a nightmare. You do get a pass to park nearby but coming back in the evening this was always full, so we needed to spend a bit of time driving around to find a spot a few minutes walk away, pay to park in the nearby car park, or park on the single yellows and move the car in the morning. I considered knocking a star off for the above but decided against it because the parking in issues are just one of the prices you pay for being centrally located, and I was fortunate enough to be in the double room so I'm only hearing about the kitchen noise second hand! Also, overall those factors did not sour our stay and would not prevent me from returning.

Brilliant find. Beautifully restored house with everything done to a high quality, stylish finish. Very cosy with a real log fire. Comfy beds and furniture, good size tv, well fitted kitchen and even a roll top bath. Perfect for a short break or holiday. We would definitely use again.
